
Garfield School: The Superstar Character Academy came to Garfield School today! It is an interactive assembly where students learn about good character, becoming leaders, being honest, respecting adults, and being fair. Not only did our students have a good time participating but we had our very own Mr. Schalago and Dr. Mazurkiewicz show us their dance moves!

Garfield Kindergarteners are going on an Alphabet Hunt!🔍 Ms. Benanati's classroom transformed into a sensory experience where our young explorers dug through sensory bins, uncovered alphabet treasures, and decoded letters in small group centers. The hunt is on! 🔠✨











Congratulations to Garfield School's January Students of the Month!


Garfield School: Mrs. Berberian's 4th Grade Language Arts classes held a poetry recital. Students practiced reciting their poems orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression. They did a fantastic job!

📣 Due to the anticipated weather conditions, the Kearny School District will follow a delayed opening schedule tomorrow, Thursday, February 6.
🔔 PreK through grade six will arrive at 10:00am and grades seven through twelve will arrive at 9:50 am.
⚠️ There will be no Right at School morning care.

The 6th grade LLD students joined KHS Success classes for a hands-on Life Skills event, learning essential tasks like doing laundry and making a quick meal. Huge thanks to our amazing teachers and aides for making this experience so meaningful!

Garfield School: This week, peers participated in the Great Kindness Challenge by reading books to younger students and spreading positivity. After each reading session, they wrote uplifting messages on paper links, contributing to a growing kindness chain. Together, they created a visual reminder of the power of kindness and connection within our community!

Garfield School: Ms. Benenati's class transformed into Benenati's Builders, constructing knowledge one wrecking ball at a time! They nailed the science of pushes and pulls, demolishing doubts and building up with understanding! These students are a smash hit!




Garfield School: It was Kindness Spirit Week at Garfield School! Students participated in The Great Kindness Challenge, a week dedicated to performing millions of acts of kindness nationwide.










Garfield School: Students in Mrs. Lago's class visited the library to participate in a meet an author event through Book Break today. They were so excited to see the author and interact. They even got to make a drawing with her!
