Garfield School’s 4th Graders are piloting a brand new Language Arts Program. They had an end of unit celebration. The theme was “Geology Rocks!” Students dressed like rock stars and participated in Geology Jeopardy, “Rock” Bingo, and trivia. They even watched live footage of a volcano eruption in Hawaii. Everyone is excited about Amplify CKLA.
🌸 Wishing our entire school community a relaxing and refreshing Spring Break! 🌞 All schools will be closed from Monday, April 14 through Monday, April 21. We look forward to welcoming students and staff back on Tuesday, April 22!
Garfield School Principal Donna Masters and Teacher Kimberly Seeley attended a county-wide recognition luncheon recognizing outstanding companies, municipalities, schools, non-profits, and senior centers for their exceptional achievements. Garfield School was recognized for actively supporting the Hudson County Transportation Management Association’s Safe Routes to School initiative by having them present essential lessons throughout the school year on transportation safety. This was made possible by the efforts of the Garfield School Assembly Committee.

Hudson TMA's annual Learn to Ride classes will be held on Saturday, May 10 at Kearny High School from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Children must have a parent/guardian present at all times. See the attached flyer for more information.
