Using flashlights and replicas of the sun and moon, Mrs. DeMatos' students demonstrated the solar eclipse event in class today.
At Franklin School, Mrs. Russo's ESL Science classes discussed solar eclipse safety and learned about the different types of eclipses! 😎
🐰The bunny fun continues at Franklin School, where Mrs. Russo's 5th grade Science students created rabbit habitats and participated in a reflective discussion on their newfound knowledge of our furry friends.🐇
The Franklin School ABA/PSD classes had a hopping good time, participating in a meet-and-greet with Mr. E. Bunny himself, and partaking in a variety of egg-citing Spring themed activities, including an egg hunt, sensory bin activity, and pin the tail on the bunny!
The students use a communication app on their iPads to communicate during functional activities and when greeting people, as in our Spring event. The Total Communication Approach allows the ABA/PSD students to have a voice and the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities.
Franklin School participated in our annual FUN RUN BOOSTERTHON fundraiser! Our students ran and danced to high energy music while raising funds for our school community! Go, Falcons!

📣 Attention 6th grade families! Lincoln Middle School will be hosting our first ever Open House on Tuesday, March 26th. We would like to welcome all current 6th grade students who are residents of Kearny. Doors will open at 6pm, at 121 Beech Street.

Franklin School: This was a wonderful experience during Wellness Week for our littles!! They absolutely loved the experience and learned from it. The students were well organized, kind and interacted well with our students. We wish it could have been a little longer! They are always welcome in Room 336 with Ms. Cunha! Thank you again!

Franklin school ABA Primary 3 and 4 working on their communication skills ordering lunch using their own forms of communication. They did a great job and we can't wait for our next trip!
Franklin School: Students from Mrs. Janz’s Kindergarten class celebrated Leap Year during centers. For language arts, they used jumping frogs to land on a pond full of red words. During math, they used frogs to find two numbers to make addition equations. A student from Mrs. Abram’s class came to join in on the learning fun!
