Students used their inferring skills to piece together mixed-up dinosaur bones and create their own unique fossil creatures!
Our “Flower Power” STEM challenge had students designing and building flowers using only pipe cleaners, paper, tape, and scissors, and they had to stand on their own! So much problem-solving, teamwork, and imagination growing here at Franklin! 🌱✨

Students enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging activities including Pin the Tail on the Bunny, Bunny Ear Ring Toss, Spring Crafts, a Spring Sensory Table, and Bean Bag Toss. The excitement continued as the festivities wrapped up with an Easter egg hunt and a special visit from the Easter Bunny! 🐣🥚

They were able to observe the chicks up close, gently touch them, and even had the chance hold them. M any students stepped outside of their comfort zones and engaged with curiosity and excitement. To make the day even more memorable, each student was able to bring home their own stuffed chick as a keepsake! We are so grateful to the Success Program for inviting us and creating such a fun, interactive, and inclusive experience for our students. Opportunities like this help build confidence, encourage exploration, and create lasting memories.

Elementary and middle school learners explored Baseball in STEM, 3D printing, and Piper Computer Kits, building creativity and computational thinking skills. Thank you to the Northern New Jersey Computer Science Hub for coordinating this engaging learning experience.

Our first graders wrapped up CKLA Domain 4: Astronomy with an unforgettable Space Day! Students became astronauts for the day—complete with vests and helmet headbands—and rotated through hands-on, engaging activities.
They explored the solar system by completing space puzzles, played a space-themed memory game, designed their own constellations, and created solar system necklaces to take home. Throughout the day, students were actively applying what they learned about planets, stars, and space in fun and meaningful ways.
It was incredible to see their excitement, creativity, and love for learning shine as they truly “reached for the stars!” 🌌✨

This didn’t happen by chance, this team showed true innovation, teamwork, and determination. They worked for weeks bringing their ideas to life, solving real problems, and pushing themselves every step of the way.
We are also so proud of their amazing coaches, Mrs. Melker, Mrs. Davis, and Mrs. Kyak, whose guidance and dedication helped make this success possible.
Franklin, this is what excellence looks like!
