Mrs. Melker's 2nd grade KEEP students designed their own SUPERHEROES! Students had to include characteristics of their superhero, such as their name, their superhero's alter ego, talents and super abilities, and even a backstory! Go Falcons!

Franklin School held a special 9/11 flag raising ceremony in front of the school in honor of those who risked their lives for our country. 🕊️


On Friday, September 6th, Kearny High School began its pep rally with the 23rd annual 9/11 Flag Raising and Remembrance Ceremony. Led by Marty Nystrom and featuring families of Kearny residents who lost their lives in the attacks, the ceremony offered a moment to reflect and honor those from Kearny affected by the tragedy. We will never forget. 🕊️








The third annual Faculty Field Day, held on September 3, 2024, centered around teacher wellness. The event began with a keynote address by Dr. Katie Peters, who emphasized the value of kindness and empathy. Following the keynote, teachers participated in various wellness activities, including yoga, yard games, walking, painting, cooking, and more. The day concluded with a lively pop-up performance by Appetite for Instruction, an all-faculty band featuring Marlaina Melker on vocals, James Sickinger on guitar, John Kubowicz on keyboard, Jeremy Gorin on saxophone, and Salvatore Coffaro on drums. Inspired, teachers and staff are ready to welcome their students to an exciting year!

Franklin School: Congratulations to our May Students of the Month!




Franklin school ABA classes Primary 3 and 4 had their final community trip to Big Nick's today. They all did a great job and learned many new skills. Can't wait until next school year.


Franklin School: Students Mrs. McSorley's Science classes completed a STEM project involving area, perimeter, & engineering. They had to plan and map out an amusement park, then build a model of one of the rides!


Ms. Murray’s Pre-K class and Ms. Donnelly’s Kearny High School Ceramics class teamed up to bring our preschoolers’ monster drawings to life!! Mrs. Astrella and Dr. Cali stopped in to check out our Monster Museum, and Mrs. Astrella read “The Color Monster” story to the class!






Ms. Hinostroza’s ESL Science class was researching different Biomes and habitats. They created a diorama in a box representing one of the earth’s biomes that have been studied in class.
