Garfield School: Happy Earth Day from Ms. Seeley's class 🌎❤️
Garfield School: Mrs. Abendschoen’s class went on a nature walk to learn more about Earth Day!
Garfield School: Ms. Pace and Mrs. Lazu had former MLB player and Olympian, Patrick Kivlehan, visit their classrooms to celebrate the ending of their ball study. He read us a book and we even got to hold and see his Silver Medal! 🥈⚾️
Garfield School: Kindergartners are enjoying weekly library classes. This week Ms. Curry read "The Little Cloud" by Eric Carle. Then the students used their imagination and painted their own little cloud.
Garfield School: Second Graders visit the library for STEM enrichment with Ms. Curry. Their challenge was to create a flower that springs up on its own with straws, paper, and pipe cleaners.
Garfield School: Fifth graders in Mr. Schalago's class visit the library for STEM enrichment with Ms. Curry. Students learned about repurposing materials and created slides for marbles using tissue boxes, paper towel rolls, and newspaper. They tested out their designs and had lots of fun!

Garfield School: Students visit the library to listen to the story "Lailah's Lunchbox" and learn about Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak!
Garfield School Families participated in a STEAM Family Engagement Night where they had the opportunity to work together on a variety of engaging, hands-on activities that directly relate to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). It was a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone!

This Friday, March 24th. the Garfield School PTA is hosting a craft and vendor fair in the Garfield School gymnasium from 6:00-9:00 pm. All are welcome! Please enter the school through the doors by the playground.
Garfield School's 4th Graders each read a novel or chapter book and described the traits of the main character. They designed a bottle to look like the main character and presented their projects in class.
Garfield School: Ms. Curry's Kindergarten KEEP students completed a St. Patrick's day STEM challenge. The leprechaun lost his rainbow so they had to create a new one. Students worked together to come up with different ideas to solve the problem!
Garfield School: Ms. Pace's Pre-K class found a leprechaun surprise on St. Patrick's Day! ☘️
Garfield School: Mrs. Mancuso's second graders did a graphing project with Lucky Charms for St. Patrick's day.
