At Garfield School, Ms. Concepcion and Mrs. Bifulco’s first graders had fun completing Halloween activities today! They also had a special visitor, our Superintendent Mrs. Encarnacao, who read the story “Room on the Broom.”

This week at Garfield School the students in Miss Gallagher’s Reading Class learned about words with Vowel-Consonant E. Today they played Bingo to demonstrate their knowledge and ability to read Vowel-Consonant E words.
At Garfield School, Mrs. Lonnay's 6th grade ELA classes finished reading the novel Bud, Not Buddy. Students completed several projects such as creating a postcard or diary entry from a character's point of view, developing a comic strip, or comparing characters and themes within the novel. Students were excited to share their work!
Garfield School announced their October Kind Cookies! These students were all caught being kind this month! Congratulations and keep spreading kindness!
