
Garfield School: 3rd grade students explored the art of figure drawing in Art class with Mr. McShane.






Garfield School: In Mrs. Gerbasio's 6th grade science class, students rotated through six different stations to observe different types of motion. The stations included observing the motion of a tennis ball when it collided with a stationary or moving object, observing the motion of a pendulum, observing the motion of a car starting at different heights, designing a rocket out of a balloon observingthe interaction of magnetic forces.

Garfield School: Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade visited the library to complete a STEM activity using engineering design process. The challenge was to build a roller coaster to guide the marble into the cup. Students worked together in collaborative groups. Each student had a different role such as Challenge Captain, Chief Architect, Materials Master, Testing Coodinator, and Rapid Reporter. During our showcase, students discussed ways to improve their designs.

Garfield School: Winter Break Reading Challenge for grades Kindergarten, First, and Second. Thank you to all the students and families who participated!

Garfield School: Students in First Grade KEEP classes explored the Fairy Tale of The Gingerbread Man in their Fairy Tale Unit. Students listened to multiple variations of the story then designed and built structures to save the Gingerbread Man.
