The Kearny School District would like to recognize Ava Marinho, Annie Ludena, Melissa Mota and Taraji Mays for their outstanding volunteerism at the Latino Veterans of New Jersey Wrapping Fiesta, one of many events celebrating the contributions of Hispanic veterans and the Latino community. The student volunteers donated their time by creating care packages featuring commonly found bodega items for overseas soldiers. The care packages offer a taste of home and a closer connection to Hispanic culture.
The Kearny School District is proud to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx community.
Letās come together to celebrate the diverse traditions that make our community stronger, more vibrant, and united.
