Students in Mrs. Walsh’s 6th grade class at Washington are enhancing their functional life skills by helping our school staff during their visits to the newly opened Staff Snack Shack. We appreciate everyone who joined us for the opening on Tuesday and those who contributed supplies. A special thank you to all of our wonderful staff members who have stopped by to support our students.





Mrs. O’Grady’s graders from Washington completed the “Monster Mayhem” project by writing essays on “How to Catch a Monster” using sequence words to plan their traps. They also brought their monsters to life through art, blowing paint with straws to create their own unique creatures. They ended with sharing their work in the “Author’s Bench” with their classmates.











Washington School Newscasters enjoyed a memorable experience at Kearny High’s Broadcasting Studio! 🎥 Ms. Afayee's digital team toured Mr. Miller’s studio, where the KHS crew led a lively discussion on the importance of lighting, camera work, and stage managing in TV production.








Today, the Kearny School District celebrates World Kindness Day! Kindness is the foundation of a supportive community. Every act of kindness, big or small, makes a difference. Let’s continue to spread positivity and lift each other up! 💙

Washington School Preschoolers in Mrs. Gawronski Smyth's class went on a Sensory Walk on Friday. With their eyes they saw the beautiful colors of autumn, with their ears they heard the rustling of the leaves, they met Ms. Afayee and had a picnic in the garden.
