Schuyler School - Mrs. Ferreiras class had THE BEST time having our pajama slumber party! We watched The Grinch and ate our snack on our beds. It was cozy and so much fun! We also had a special visitor!

Schuyler School - This past week Ms. Avino's Class had a couple mystery readers come in to read holiday books to the class. We were so excited to see who was going to come into the classroom each day to read. Thank you so much to Nathaniel's mom, Moriah's mom, Andrew's mom and Parker's mom for coming in to read to us!
Schuyler School - Today was Pick a Gift Day! A surprise was hidden behind each cup, and all staff members had a chance to pick their gift. It was fun to see what each person picked!!
Schuyler School - Today in Ms. Avino's Pre-K class the students participated in a fizzing candy cane science experiment. The students made predictions on what they thought would happen when they added vinegar to the candy canes and baking soda. We then discussed how the vinegar was reacting to the baking soda creating bubbles. We also talked about what had happened to the candy cane stripes as we added the vinegar into the container. The students had so much fun working together for this science experiment.
Schuyler School - Mrs. Ferreira's class made reindeer food today to help the reindeer find our houses! They also played bingo. They were all winners and got to pick some great prizes!
Schuyler School - second grade students loved their 'Grinchmas Day'!!

Schuyler School - Our PreK students were very busy today! They made some reindeer food today to help the reindeer keep up their energy over the holidays!
Schuyler School- the 4th graders at Schuyler School had a blast at their holiday party yesterday! Students rotated between stations of different activities ranging from crafts, S.T.E.M, games, and even a fun photo op. It was a wonderful afternoon spending time together and making amazing 4th grade memories. Happy Holidays!
Schuyler School staff celebrated our first (and very successful!) Annual Cookie Buffet!
Schuyler School - Mrs. Walsh's 6th grade class celebrated Candy Cane Day. They explored the history, used them to measure objects around the classroom, and conducted an experiment to discover which liquid would dissolve them the quickest.
Schuyler School - Ms. DeRay's PreK class participated in a magical experiment today. They used milk with a few drops of food coloring and added a drop of dish soap. The milk reacts to the soap and the colors dance around the plate. It’s SUPER magical and the kids loved it!
Schuyler School - Mrs. DeRay’s Pre-K is currently working on the Clothing Study. Their class decorated their Gingerbread houses/people using clothing design elements such as sequins, pom-poms, beads and glitter. They used puffy paint for the icing and had so much fun working on this project together!

Schuyler School - Today Ms. Avino's class had a mystery visitor who came and read a special book called "How to Catch a Gingerbread Man". They also did a fun activity and created their own Gingerbread ornaments to put on their Christmas trees. Thank you so much to Jade's mom for coming in today to read with the class and do an activity. The kids had so much fun!!
