Schuyler School - Our 6th grade students were excited to visit Lincoln Middle School for their orientation and to visit the STEM festival. They were able to participate in so many activity stations!
Schuyler School - Ms. DeRay's PreK class had a fun trip to the Kearny Public Library where they were able to get their very own library card and take out their first book! When they returned to class Ms. DeRay gave them finger flashlights, shut the lights, and had some fun reading in the dark! They loved it

Schuyler School - Ms. Matos' class had so much fun visiting Ms. Hatfield's class and learning about how the chicks hatched. They got to hold the chicks too!
Schuyler School - Ms. Blevis held a google drawing contest (Make a House scene) with Ms. Hatfield's class. Congratulations to the three winners: Danisha Vargas, Ayden Solis, and Johan Cano!
Schuyler School - Thanks to Elks Lodge 1050, Ms. Hatfield’s class was able to participate in egg hatching. After the hatching, the students acted as “Chic Ambassadors” and explained to other classes how the chicks hatched and assisted in helping the students pet or hold a chick.
Schuyler School students had so much fun today at our annual Field Day! We had so many family members come watch and even had a visit from Tommy the Tiger! (special thanks to Mr. Pallino and Mr. Sickinger for putting the event together!)

Schuyler School - The Kindergarten students attended a presentation by Rizzo's Wildlife. The students were introduced to several animals including a chinchilla, scorpion, bearded dragon, snake, and alligator. The students were given the opportunity to pet several of the animals while learning fun facts about each animal.
Ms. Ferreira's PreK3 class finished their unit on insects and celebrated with the release of their butterflies!

Schuyler School - Mrs. O'Malley's third grade class invited Mrs. Cord's kindergarteners to observe their lady bugs and listen to read alouds. The third graders did a great job of explaining the ladybug life cycle to the kindergarten students. Both classes look forward to meeting again when the ladybugs are in the next stages of their life cycle!
