Last week thirty KHS business and accounting students attended the second session of Deloitte’s MADE program in their Morristown offices. Students heard from guest speaker Erin Abreu, a partner at Deloitte and a KHS graduate. Students learned about the accounting profession, schooling requirements, and got an overall sense of the different things you can do with an accounting degree.

Congratulations to our Senior Powder Puff winners! It was a beautiful night and one of the most competitive games in recent history. After the Seniors broke out to a 14-0 start the Juniors would pull within 2 points and had a chance to tie and put the game into OT, however with 10 seconds remaining there was a botched snap with 10 seconds left that would seal the victory for the seniors!! . Thank you to both teams for the excellent performances and to all the fans for their support of the event.

🌎 America Recycles Day is November 15, and small actions lead to big impacts! Each year, millions join in to spread awareness of how recycling reduces waste, saves energy, and conserves valuable resources.
The KHS SAVE Club is aiming to collect 1,000 pounds of plastic film to recycle through TREX, a company that transforms plastic waste into outdoor furniture. If we reach our goal by the end of the school year, TREX will gift us a bench made from recycled plastic for our school grounds. So far, we’ve saved 208 pounds of plastic from ending up in landfills!
You can help by dropping off items like plastic bags labeled with a 2 or a 4, Amazon packaging, bread/produce bags, and ice bags into the GREEN recycling bins in the main office, counseling, security desk, or any science classroom. Let’s “Turn that stench into a bench!”

Washington School Newscasters enjoyed a memorable experience at Kearny High’s Broadcasting Studio! 🎥 Ms. Afayee's digital team toured Mr. Miller’s studio, where the KHS crew led a lively discussion on the importance of lighting, camera work, and stage managing in TV production.
