🛠️ Kearny High School’s Building and Trades students, led by Mr. Phil Talone, dove into hands-on activities at the Construction Industry Career Day Expo at the NJ Convention Expo Center on May 29th! Sponsored by CCT, DISCA, ELEC and others, the attendees learned about educational opportunities, wage progressions, participated in demonstrations, and inquired about the signup process for the various unions represented at the show. Our kids represented the district well by demonstrating professionalism, courtesy and genuine interest in the field. Thank you to Mr. Talone for organizing the trip, and kudos to our students on a job well done! 🛠️

KHS: Mr. Talone’s construction class attended a Construction Career Fair. We would like to thank the Unions, the school and especially the students that attend the Construction Career Fair. We are so proud of these students who conducted themselves and demonstrated KHS pride. The students were involved in every station, greeting everyone and getting rep business cards. In addition to inquiring about the signup procedures of all the many unions that were there. They also participated in all the demonstrations the Expo had to offer. The students with their uniforms showed a certain interest and sense of dignity in the way they handled themselves, we were complimented on how well the students behaved by the organizer. Great Job!!!
