BHS: As part of the celebration of Black History Month, the student body had an assembly on Thursday, February 29. The assembly was run by B.F.A.M (Brothers from Another Mother). The B.F.A.M presentation is an extension of the legacy and history of how the arts can positively affect youth in New Jersey. The presenters, Wiz, Rebecca, KHS graduate, Eddie Cash and founder Anthony Solo Harris, were brought together to form a brotherhood through music and dance. That brotherhood has lasted 20 years, which has allowed them to create a portfolio of progressive work and a lifetime of service to the artistic youth of New Jersey. The B.F.A.M presentation is designed to inspire, empower, and most importantly give the youth a sense of pride in being from New Jersey. The message today was to be accepting of all people, cheer each other on, and use the muscle that is most important, your brain! They shared individual stories about their struggles growing up and they were very moving. They emphasized...find your passion, learn from an amazing mentor, and follow your dreams.

KHS: In Mrs. LaRossa period 3 engineering students visited Ms. Hatfield's class and shared their game board designs. The engineering students were challenged to design a new game board using the engineering design process. Students came up with the game concept, created the board, directions, packaging and game pieces, many of which were 3D designed and printed. The students showed Ms. Hatfield's students how to play their games and all students had an enjoyable class period learning and discovering the new games.
