Mr. Softee visits Garfield School!






Garfield School Students in second grade enjoyed a Disney theme day. All classes took a virtual tour of the theme park and were able to see different rides and attractions first hand!




Garfield school celebrates all of our accomplishments on the last day of KEEP.





Garfield School held its annual End of the Year Awards Assembly for 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade students. Students were acknowledged for their outstanding character, participation, and academic excellence in various subject areas and clubs. Congratulations to all who received awards today!











Garfield School 5th grade L.E.A.D. graduation. Thank you to Officer Brady and Sergeant Marques for running the LEAD program and to Mayor Carol Jean Doyle, Council member Marytrine De Castro, and KPD Deputy Chief Paul Bershefski for being in attendance and supporting the program.







Students at Garfield School in Mrs. Lonnay's Extra ELA class chose to participate in an extension lesson of an Ancient Greece Unit. After reading about Troy and Odysseus's adventures students continued their learning by choosing roles and reading the play Olympians Rising. They then researched a Greek God or Goddess and created a mask replicating them. Great Job!







6th-grade students from Garfield School were so eggs-cited to participate in their annual Egg Drop Activity! Eggs-pert groups designed and built their landing device using recycled materials. Eggs were then carefully placed inside and their goal was to survive the drop without cracking! Students and teachers had an eggs-cellent time!











Garfield School: The students in Miss Gallagher’s Reading Class, participated in fun, interactive board games using their prefix and suffix knowledge.




Garfield School Achieve3000 recognition of students who have shown the most growth and have completed over 80 activities this school year.


Garfield School students participated in 6th Grade Annual Optimist Spelling Bee



Garfield School: Students in Ms. Vicente's class had an opportunity to design a city or their dream bedroom to end the ear with their geometry unit!

Garfield School Just “Bee” Kind students


Garfield School Second graders enjoyed a fun in the sun day today. They participated in centers that included a sprinkler for water fun, bubbles, cornhole, frisbees and side walk chalk. Everyone had fun spending time with each other before summer begins









Today at Garfield School the 6th grade Peers presented the incoming 5th graders with information to get them excited and feel more prepared for the transition! Having older peers visit and share their experiences can make the transition smoother and less intimidating. It's a chance for the incoming students to ask questions and learn about what to expect.
