KHS: Sabrina Stroman and Arwa Oualia presented to the AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics classes during their common Study Hall Period. They gave the students sound advice as to what they should be doing in preparation for their college acceptances and what to do as soon as they decide where they're going. Most of the information at first was about the financial deadlines students need to make sure they start looking into. They also shared "rules and regulations" as to what to be careful about when in college: attendance, late work, grant/scholarship renewals, etc. Students were very attentive and asked questions at the end. It was very informal.

KHS celebrated Hispanic Heritage! The Hispanic Heritage Celebration featured a live salsa band, Son Mundo and the professional salsa dancing group Legacy Mambo, who dazzled us with their moves. Light refreshments were sold by our Spanish Club and K-Birds. This event is an opportunity for our school community to come together, appreciate the rich heritage of the Hispanic culture, and enjoy an evening of music, dance, and celebration.
