The third annual Faculty Field Day, held on September 3, 2024, centered around teacher wellness. The event began with a keynote address by Dr. Katie Peters, who emphasized the value of kindness and empathy. Following the keynote, teachers participated in various wellness activities, including yoga, yard games, walking, painting, cooking, and more. The day concluded with a lively pop-up performance by Appetite for Instruction, an all-faculty band featuring Marlaina Melker on vocals, James Sickinger on guitar, John Kubowicz on keyboard, Jeremy Gorin on saxophone, and Salvatore Coffaro on drums. Inspired, teachers and staff are ready to welcome their students to an exciting year!

The Kearny High School Boys Soccer team was honored with the Tri-State Triumph Trophy at the Golden Goal Awards event, hosted at American Dream. This prestigious award celebrates the exceptional skill, teamwork, and dedication your team has demonstrated, setting a remarkable standard in high school soccer.
The Golden Goal Awards, powered by JD SPORTS and hosted by NY POST Sports and TV Personality Brandon London, took place on August 3, 2024 at 4:00 PM. Before the awards ceremony, the team will be able to enjoy a day at Nickelodeon.

Kearny High School's Summer Enrichment program ended with a bang! Our talented students showcased their skills in comic strips, pop art, and live performances. Under the guidance of our dedicated teachers, they explored science, math, ELA, tech, musical theater, dance, band, and auto in exciting new ways.
Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. Vella, and Mr. Conde directed amazing performances, while Ms. Donnelly and Mr. Costello curated stunning art displays. Our ESL students shone bright thanks to Ms. Kryshak-Baptista and Ms. Avecillas. Ms. Tejedor brought science to life, Ms. Serino made math fun, and Mr. Torre, Mr. Morgan, and Mr. Ribeiro seamlessly blended ELA, tech, and automotive maintenance.
The program's success underscores the importance of diverse, engaging educational opportunities in preparing students for future academic and professional pursuits.
The culminating event, where students presented their work to families and peers, demonstrated the power of arts education in developing well-rounded individuals.
